SPECIAL ALERT TO ALL MEMBERS TO ALL AAMHO MEMBERS, both Mobile/Manufactured Home residents and RV residents. THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! AAMHO IS IN AN EXTREMELY DIFFICULT LEGISLATIVE BATTLE.
EVERY MEMBER IS ASKED TO CALL OR E-MAIL THEIR SENATOR FOR THEIR SUPPORT OF HB2255WITH THE AMENDMENT STATING “ EVICTION WITH CAUSE” FOR PARK MODELS”! Also call or e-mail Senator Barbara Leff, sponsor of the amendment and Representative Russ Jones, sponsor of the HB2255. Representative Jones is also supporting the amendment. Senator Leff bleff@azleg.gov; and Representative Jones rjones@azleg.govWe have a good chance to right a huge wrong. Park Model owners have not had the protection that Mobile/Manufactured Home owners have had for years. The Long Term RV Rental Space Act has absolutely no power unless this wrong is corrected. As it stands, eviction without cause is often used to intimidate senior park model owners. We have 88,113 park model owners and 140,490 mobile home owners. This is a sizeable block of voters. The 88,113 park model owners have NO RIGHTS unless this AMENDMENT is passed attached to HB2255. Please ask your senator to support HB225 WITH THE AMENDMENT STATING “EVICTION WITH CAUSE FOR PARK MODELS”! If you have experienced the threat of eviction without cause, please tell the facts as briefly as possible. Again, it is the amendment attached to this house bill that contains the change to eviction with cause for park trailers, which are better known as park models. Please call or e-mail. Keep trying until you get through. Every single call or e-mail counts!! We only have a couple days to do this as this bill is currently on its way to the caucus, COW, and then the senate floor. Sincere Thanks and gratitude to all members. Let’s get this done!! Jean Creagan Legislative Director of AAMHO Ron Feinstein President of AAMHO
